That is a beautiful room, I have rarely seen one better. I like the design and control systems you have in place there.
Had a question, you had mentioned that you used CFL for flowering, and that a 150 hps would give you the same power useage, what kind of CFL are you using?
Granted I am state side, so things are a bit differnt when it comes to electrics, but for 150 watts of power, I can run two Fluorex 500's they draw about 63 watts each and put out a mostly full spectrum with a edge towards blue light and and are as bight as the 400 watt MH I am using, altho the box claims them to put out equivalant to 500 watts of light. So for me the 150 watts would be about 800 to 1000 watts equivalant of light which is what I thought the whole point of the compact floros was, high equivalant light out put to power use and lower temps. My currant project is to take a old Cubix half rack and biuld it in to a scrog chamber its only 4 feet tall by about 2 feet wide and 3 feet long. I have covered the inside with heavey duty white vinyl, I just find its easier to work with than mylar and works almost as well, and have mounted two Fluorex 500s on supenders and will be putting in a 120 cfm carbon exhaust on a renostat, and three 80 cfm circulation fans. I am thinking that I will probaly go with a bubbler tray hydro system as they are easier to work on in small spaces.
You seem to grow some beautiful plants and I have been reading a number of your responces to people around the site and you obviously know what your talking about, I am just a bit confused onthis bit about the lights and power usage and since I have a number of lights of various sorts I am curious to understand this more before I complete the Cubix, as I amy just stick a 250 watt hps in if it seem like it may be a better idea.
Any thoughts?
Peace,
Grim
