A lot stronger lite would need to be further away at first, then gradually work it down to were it should be. Do that over a few days to prevent shocking the babies. Only ever topped all the branches and tips a max of twice, for inside, but you could do it more, it just makes them a lot bushier. Dont do a lota topping when its near bloomtime, they need a chance to recover to grow good size flowers.
