UHH...well, bigger pots would normally be good advice, but in this system it would result in a big LOSS in yield. This ebb-flo hydro system was specifically designed with pot size in mind. Each "module" or tub, holds 18 pots perfectly. The pic is a prototype using rockwool, but we have switched to clay long ago.
Even the seeds were bred with this system in mind to grow heavy single, or double colas if they get topped. Each pot averages around 3/4 to 1 oz dry yield.
Now, doing some math, with a 400w lite producing 18oz every ten weeks in each module, thats over the magical gram per watt number that folks like to get. Who's to say, that same 400w might even be able to cover two modules? Then maybe add in a light mover? and a couple more modules? Who knows?
Anyways, appreciate the help offered, but this is not a newby grow, the envrionmental contitions are dialed in perfectly, the system operates effortlessly, and we measure growth by the hour, not by the day like most.
Heres an old pic of the first one made and everything can be bought {except hydroton} at walmart or hardware stores. Pull up a chair and stay awhile.
