I just invested in a Sunlight 400W MH conversion and HPS light system. Its been in use (the MH bulb because they are in the revegging stage) for about 3 days now and I've noticed the dirt has dried out really fast. I have them in big pots and previously watered them once a week. This week I've had to water them twice. I've got them so that the tops are 24" below the light. Is it normal for the dirt to dry out so quickly under this light? I wouldn't have watered them twice just because the dirt was dried, but they were looking a little droopy. They did perk up after the second watering.
