Question about salvia?

I have been reading some of your accounts and experiences about Saliva. Some seem great and some well bloomin' freaky. Anyways have been doing some reading on the net about Salvia as well, I must be either getting old(er) or more sensible 'cause I never even thought about researching drugs in my youth! (I'm 28 fem from UK btw) I just wanted to know how long it lasts the "trip" my past experiences from acid have been up to 12 hours, and, if it is something you would recommend. (sorry about the bad spelling btw!) I know Salvia deserves respect and can produce and amazing experience and something I possibly want to try. I just wanted to know more from people that have been there and done it!
