I was under the impression that you lived in Eastern Canada. . . are you in Vancouver?
Anyway. . . .Kit, to touch on what FR said about laced being a myth. It's a very real propagandized scare tactic. Always remember this if someone brings it up:
Why on earth would a drug dealer spend extra money to lace pot with another drug and still sell it at the same price? That goes against the simplest economic principles.
Also, what he said about moderation couldn't be truer. Wait on that first toke, especially until you get to know the strain that you're smoking. If you know that it's a relatively weak strain, then you'd be safe to take a couple. But if you got your hands on some boo-bonic-chronic, which it sounds like you did, you'd be thanking god you only took one little toke.
I'm kind of like FR, in a way. I don't really care, or strive to get really high anymore. It probably comes with age. As long as I know that what I grow is the shit, I'm OK with that. I like to take other people's word on it.
