Well, first of all hello for the first time here (I have been a guest for more than a year but never registered until recently) I reckon California has great cannabis just as the B.C. does, I have been to both places and believe me they both got medicinal grade cannabis that has quality assurance. I am from Puerto Rico and I could say on behalf of this little island that we are top class in the Americas. We posses optimal conditions for growing (we have been growing hybrids outdoors for years now and they have finished with excellent quality smoke)considering constant light, an optimal amount of rain and about the richest soils in the world, specifically in the central mountains of the Island where the coffe beans that popes drink/drank (have to revise if it still continues to be their coffee of choice but it was for more than half a century one of their top choices)are produced. This year I had the opportunity to visit several caribbean islands and I found out to my surprise that weather conditions are not even remotely close between Puerto Rico and other islands (believe it or not but the temp in some towns of the central mountains drops as low as the forties a couple of times in "our winter" time), having said that I do not claim that we have the best cannabis in the world but i do disagree with those that say that there is nothing amazing to find in the caribbean. Puerto Rico is at the least in a league of their own in producing great natural herb with quality genetics Outdoors. I admit that we are beaten indoors, but outdoors I think it is as good as it gets and I also believe that our valleys and mountains are much much fertile than most territories discussed here. The thing here is that you must know people in order to find that kind of weed. Take for example this year alone I have been able to consume from over twenty different strains including top end like the sour diesel varieties and the great classics such as C 99, white strains, blue strains, Mr. nice's whole catalog and the best commercial weed you can find. There is no dirt weed here except in less than a handfull of ghettos and even in those you can find what they call "Creepy", basically any strain potent enough to cause a creeper strain but since they do not know neither care about genetics in the hood (its just about selling anything in those places and there are high risks like cops which are notoriously abusive here)they keep it basic when they sell...in the ghettos you either get creepy (no quality assurance)or great commercial that's far better than brick weed. Just wanted to let you guys know there are good strains available here the thing is the prices...really unreasonable prices. An ounce of great quality creeper strains run for about 400 to 500 dollars, anything more than that is a rip off down here, but still pretty much expensive (used to pay 60 dollars an eight). Top 5 that I have smoked here is:
1) Strawberry Cough
2) Diesel varities
3) Black Domina
4) one variety of white widow that just blew me away
5) Shiskaberry x Hash Plant
I am planning a trip to Spain and Europe with my girlfrienf hoping to make a pit stop in Amsterdam to see what they hava got but I definately agree that the crown to best cannabis in the world is either in the hans of canada or Cali (smoked the O.G. Kush and felt its narcotic experience). Another friend here who supports the movement and the legalization.
Another side note: Weed is so popular here that i am willing to say that if it was not due to our current political status (U.S. territory) we would have legalized it long ago.
