I tried a few in my younger days. Very disappointing the say the least. I think it would depend on ones body chemistry as to the 'high' one could get. I suppose I just wasn't wired for anything else but the good ole Mary Jane.
But to set the scene, it had been a good year and a half since I smoked. I decided to try one of the ads in High Time and ordered a sampler pack of like six different 'blends'. It's been so long ago, I can't even tell you who it was from or what the ingredients were.
In any event, all of them were harsh smokes. They might have been better through a bong but all I had were papers and a pipe at the time. They all stank to holy hell. Major ventilation going on. Only one of the blends produced anything that I could actually feel. Three of the six produced nothing but a headache, literally.
If you absolutely must try to satisfy your curiosity, I would try a sampler pack. You may have better luck and find a blend that does something for you. But be warned...don't expect anything but to be wasting $40.
