- unless my history books are wrong, or this is some new form of english, americans broke contact in vietnam, and abandoned their ground along with their weapons/helicopters/embassy/etc...american troops also retreated from somalia and the iran hostage rescue without achieving their objectives

- polls show that the will of the american people was sapped before the election cycle...it was sapped by the misrepresentations about iraq's WMD and terrorism...it was sapped by premature announcements about victory and being welcomed as liberators...it was sapped by concentration camps, torture chambers, and kidnapping...it was sapped by the negligent mismanagement of an occupied country...it was sapped by the terrible price in blood and dollars

- sounds like the unelected Warrior Class (capitalized?) plans to control the usa by ignoring the history of defeat and the democratic will of the american people...good luck with that!
