The volume on my sons computer ain't working so I have to view the Talking Heads clip later...all I see is some strung up guys. Yeah"coon" ain't PC no more. In Houston we had a lot of "self proclaimed coon asses" as people from Louisiana call THEMSELVES that. Lots of coon asses work in the oil refineries along the Gulf Coast. I love their cookin"....none better that TRUE CAJIN FOOD!!!!!!

But it is a proud term...much like redneck is a proud term in Texas. Here in Florida redneck/cracker is derogative though.
I guess I will bring me a "coon stix" when I come.....but gentle old DD probably won't let me hurt the animal anyway. Old softy he is and damned "cat lover" on top of that. I like dogs better myself.
