"I THINK WE CAN HEAR YOU - THANKS FOR MAKING SURE."
YOU'RE WELCOME, I GENERALLY ONLY CAPITALIZE FOR EMPHASIS, TO DISTINGUISH, OR IF I HAVE TO SAY THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AND THE PERSON I AM WRITING TO KEEPS GLOSSING OVER IMPORTANT PARTS OF THE CASE AND IGNORING IT.
"Every single human is "murdered" by God - every breath you take is ordained.
This is a stupid argument. Did God order the deaths of supposedly "innocent" people. Yes. Remember, He is omniscient, able to see time in its totality. Perhaps the infants "murdered" were going to be wicked.
Or, perhaps, God was merciful, not with their earthly lives, but with their eternal lives? There exists a somewhat disputed theological position called the "age of accountability" that suggests ALL children who perish before a certain age go directly to Heaven. Some, like C.S. Lewis, believe it is much better to die young if it means you are Heaven bound.
God, the creator of the universe, can do damn well what He pleases with HIS creation. Our meager minds and perverted morality can't possibly comprehend the ways of God.
Although around here that fact seems to escape many :P"
I agree with all you say there, except for calling it "murder" when God takes people's physical temporal lives. If he knows what's after death, and that that person's soul will be safe with him, then what's the problem, and how is that person really dead? The thing we were trying to determine, however, which, I think, got lost on Forged, is whether or not the Bible clearly supports the idea of God ordering people directly to kill other innocent people or babies. Forged kept trying to turn it into whether or not God orders babies deaths in general or by his own direct action. I tried to get that moved to a new post, as I thought it was besides the point, but Forged keeps on pushing it. I think the important thing to realize is that God does not order people to kill other innocent people or babies....except in extenuating circumstances, like that of Abraham, where it was only a test, and all the factors show that Abraham knew that Isaac would not become or stay dead.
