Well said,I say !
Muslims are under more pressure,from their religious leaders,to be fundementalists with violent over-tones,than Christians are under. I don't recall our preacher ever saying that we must go home and beat our wives or our children,that strapping on a bomb-belt and killing non-Christians,is a good thing that brings a Heavenly reward,etc.
For a muslim,the response to a percieved injustice,is usually a violent response,also,we must keep in mind,that the koran tells muslims,that infiltration of a host country or a native country,is a form of Jihad,that's actively encouraged by imams and clerics,around the world.
I fall under the domestic terrorist label of 'Super-Christian patriot',myself,because I'm loyal to God and His Son,Jesus Christ,first and America second. Now I hope I don't offend ya when I say,unlike secular humanists and atheists,I don't believe that I can trust any man or woman,over God or Jesus,to be my 'leader'..as I'd question everything that they do and see if it's for personal gain or good for everyone's interests.
I think the question should be re-phrased to ask:
"Can devout muslims be good Americans ?" In which case,I'd say.."probably not".
Christians support and believe in,freedom for all and equality for all,we support the ideals,values and traditions,that made America,the greatest country in the world. Islam,is almost directly counter to those beliefs and desires a return to the 7th century.
