Seriously, you can install windows on a partition and run whatever windows based programs you need. I got a macbook pro laptop and a mac pro desktop. The laptop runs the same as it did when I pulled it out of the box 3 years ago. The desktop will last for a decade, scalable to 4 teras of mem, 32 gigs of ram, and on and on.
