i've heard this a lot but always just figured it was dumb and never tried it.
after you posted this, i thought "you know, i never really gave it a shot.. i'll just experiment with it once"
well, i went home, used HOT water, and it really was better than cold water.
i dropped some ice down to the ice catchers (not in the water) and that made it even smoother.
I DO SUGGEST USING HOT WATER INSTEAD OF COLD WATER!!!
if you have an ice catcher in your bong, put some ice in there too. I think the hot water might be filtering it better, and the ice might be dropping the temperature of the smoke.
i dont know for sure, but hot water + ice = smoothest hits i've ever had.
