Something came to me while cooking up some peas and rice this weekend. Do you think there is enough fat/oil in coconut milk to extract THC from herb? Not the canned stuff, though.
When I make peas and rice, I prepare fresh coconut milk. Crack a coconut, get the flesh, puree it, then pour 6-8 cups of boiling hot water over it and let it steep. Then I pour the entire mixture through a strainer lined with cheeseclothe and then squeeze the flesh to get the last drops of 'milk'.
While boiling up my peas, I noticed oil in the water. Mind you, I'd have to get the mixture of coconut milk and dried peas to boil, then simmer it for about 1.5hours, then add the rice and cook that for another .5 hour. So we're talking at least 2 hours immersed in a fatty/oily liquid. Anyone with experience cooking with herb think that would work? If I ever get my hands on some again, I might try that. Would make for an interesting lunch @ work.
