I haven't tried putting ice cubes in there, but I don't know whether ice cubes would fit in this pipe. It's a small glass water pipe. I have a vaporizer, but it seems to much damn trouble to vape herb. It takes forever to consume the herb. Each toke is only about one-fifth the effect of a bong hit. I'm quite disappointed with it. Maybe I just need to pack the bowl until its completely full. But the kush I have, I just can't pack a whole bowl with it... far too potent.
