I recently flew from NYC to Orlando Int. in March.
Flew with a dub sack (roughly 3.5-3.7g's). Simple enough packed the ziplock inside ANOTHER zipbag, and then used some air fresher/oil on a tissue and wrapped that over the double locked zip and then used some cling plastic wrap and a rubber band around it all, wore tighty whiteys for a few hours and comfortable walked through security numerous times metal wand scan! All ok. A lil nervous after it all but it works with ease.
I also packed a monkey pipe (cleaned from tip to tip) which was in my carry on in a pocket of one of my jeans.
If you keep your bus tucked under neath the sack you'll be fine, and I feel the rubber band creates some much needed traction to just "make sure" nothing slides around or godforbid... falls out.
