If u are getting a p.h. reading of 7,P.H. may not be your problem,but overferting.Flush your plants a.s.a.p. and start over slowly.if you use a good soil mixture,you should never have root rot problems.Flush them out with plain old tap water if you have to,but flush them.Peace. p.s. add a little hydrogen peroxide to get air to the roots.
