Yummie, you ever heard the expression "a little knowledge is a dangerous thing"? Going back over all your posts here, you show sickly looking seedlings in the pics, use low powered crappy lites, and ask the most basic Q's that all new growers ask. Now youre telling 2 experienced growers that they dont know what theyre talking about. I know we all want to think we can help someone out, but that was bad advice from someone who is new to this hobby. Please do some research or gain a lot more experience before offering such poor advice I've also tried, and had bad luck with Miracle Grow soil. Its too strong for seedlings and young plants, and can kill them.
Miracle Grow ferts are a very cheaply made fertilizer that cant provide the micronutrients for later in a plants life. There will always be deficiencies and PH unbalance with MG soil, and their line of fertilizers.
ROR, i.ve recently done some research on "store bought" fertilizers, and nobody uses Miracle Grow ferts. Its kinda like Del said, MG hasnt got many friends. I did find several knowledgable growers threads that said Peters fertilizers worked pretty well. There was one particular Peters fert that seemed to work well. I cant remember the name, but it was something like "Gardeners Choice" or "Professional Gardners", or something in the Peters line that might make you think it was a step above their normal line of products. Dont get me wrong, i'm NOT recommending Peters, and i never used it, just relaying some of the info i've found. I'm sure a quick search for Peters fertilizers will bring it up, and you can make an educated decision. Good luck.
