Question about feeding..

Some say to start to flush during the last two weeks, but since I grow in soil I never flush unless it's absolutely necessary. Flushing in soil leaves a big muddy mess period, and I don't like doing it. As for hydro, it's a must do thing. But since I grow in soil, some say to feed normal nutrients right up to the last day. Some say to feed nothing but water for the last two days. I've tried it both ways and it didn't really make much of a difference in the finished product. Does anyone have any feed back on this subject? Enlighten me, please! BWinkle
