i've noticed that i have a strong tendency to enter an lsd-like state of mind when i smoke pot for a few weeks after i use lsd. i've also noticed that i constantly can see mild patterns and a strange sparkly, shimmering on surfaces with certain textures. when i enter a 'flashback', this shimmering gets intense and manifests into fractals and patterns that dance on surfaces. since i've noticed this happening, the 'shimmering' has remained and i see it mostly all the time. it seems like a few acid trips have actually changed the way i perceive visual input.
i have distinguished this effect as very different from lsd itself; it is a violent, flashing visual effect that accompanies the feeling of being too stoned, not the pleasant melting and morphing of objects. this visual effect is always the same pattern, always doing the same thing. i see it just the same with my eyes open or closed, its just this transparent layer over my field of vision...spirals of transparent color and light
its not necessarily a bad thing. it seems like its easier for me to get 'too stoned' now though. sometimes its a pleasant surprise to get a little trip out of smoking some pot, but usually it is uncomfortably intense to the point of being unwanted
i've never had this effect after eating mushrooms, but since some lsd has been around i've noticed it.
