few questions for first time grow

pinkandmoist Registered on Jun-15-2006 More User Info Message #18656 posted by pinkandmoist (Info) April 28, 2007 15:41:27 ET hey i have been dying to grow my own weed since i started smoking aout 5 years ago .i'm considering doing an outdoor grow and have a few questions about it i have scouted out a few places on my own property i have a small field full of weeds and trees and bushes right next to a farmers field which has an area sorta inside a bush with like jaggy leaves on it) i figure there is 1 or 2 places for 1 plant on my own field where it would not be noticable to my relatives.thats say 2 plants ,then in the feild next to it there is a little area where its all weeds and bushes and trees ,i think i could conceal a few in this area my q's are as follows i cannot veg these seeds for any lenght of time indoors as i dont have lighting for a concealed grow and i'd be caught otherwise.so i need to plant the seeds outside there and then shouldi plant the seeds in pots ,or into the ground? and on the issues of insects and stuff eating the small seedlings would it be a good idea to buy a det of drinking glasses and put them over to create like a mini greenhouse ?

george j warner Registered on Sep-02-2006 More User Info Message #18657 posted by george j warner (Info) April 28, 2007 17:48:58 ET In Reply to: few questions for first time grow posted by pinkandmoist (Info) April 28, 2007 15:41:27 ET hello pink and moist (nice name) right what you got to do is this : firstly you got seeds? if your uk go to : https://www.everyonedoesit.com if your usa go to : https://www.seedboutique.com STEPS: 1)germination: get the amount of seeds you want to harvest (10 in a pack).put the seeds on 3 layers of toilet paper in a small dish.fold over paper and water with warm not cold water .. then press down so there is watered paper all round the seed.then put some cling film(kitchen film/sandwhich wrap) over the dish and put in the airing cupboard .. 3/4 days they will crack and the tap root will show looking like a tail .. then put the seeds in jiffy plugs (compressed peat pellets ...you can get them from any garden centre ..look like big earthy coins). cheap as air ...what you do is put a pellet into water for 4 minutes until drenched (time it) then squeeze out excess pencil in the middle plant seed with tap root down 1.5cm below soil cover over and place in a propagator (humidity dome) can get from anywhere that sells plants ! ones they germinate and break the surface keep in the propagator in sun light but not direct and open air vents it will soon open up and the pre leaves will appear (round not jaggered) once the new leaves have grown remove from propagator and put on the window sill (they dont look anything like weed plants at this stage (and only feed water)! once they reach 4inches put them outside in a pot with copper tape around the rim (will stop slugs and snails) and place in direct sunlight it will soon grow ,and fast :) when they reach 12in you have to fertalize with canna products uk: https://www.growell.co.uk usa: https://www.discount-hydro.com you want "canna tera vega"(veg ferts) and "canna tera flores"(flowering ferts) and you need some PK13/14 (5th week of flowering for 2 weeks ..superbloom) when they reach 2 foot they will need more space to grow so put them in the ground or in a massive pot (bigger the better) that will help you for a while . peace
