watering outdoor

cptjaben Registered on May-13-2007 More User Info Message #18663 posted by cptjaben (Info) May 13, 2007 16:52:27 ET I'm considering growing a few personal plants (approx 4-5) in the hills and i'm wondering what the best techniques for watering are, i won't be able to visit it that often ( 1-2 week tops). are there any good systems that could be used for watering?

(Info) May 13, 2007 21:59:59 ET In Reply to: watering outdoor posted by cptjaben (Info) May 13, 2007 16:52:27 ET a waterbed mattress makes for an excellent reservoir...once it is filled. yes, it is a bitch to fill them and something best done over a long weekend campout and only if a source of water is reasonably close but once done it will last 3-4 months, depending on size and the coverage needed. it's all done by gravity feed using rainbird drip emitters...i'll go more into it once you decide to commit to such a chore.
