LED Grow Lights

They are damned expensive but use hardly any electricity and do not generate heat like conventional grow lights. NASA needs to grow in space at a cost of $10,000 per liftoff pound. They use florsent panels. Next is the FACTS Grams per, watt per, month, that is the bottom line for growers. Funny thing happend to the way to the scales. That 25 year old metal halide system, still produces .468 grams per watt, month. Do not waste your time and money, always ask for the FACTS. I posted to see if anyone has tried this, so far no one has... They are VERY new to the market and in time, I am sure some people will try them eventually.

Three equal controlled sets of plants (peppers and flowers) were grown using natural daylight, LED grow lights and 400 watt HPS. The results show almost identical results between the HPS & LEDs with daylight (of course) producing the best results overall. http://www.ledgrowlights.com/university%20of%20minn%20study.PDF
