Well how ya all keeping!

One question please do not say to me read abit on the internet or go read a book have already done all that.

I'm building a grow box out of a closet. On the top is going to be Florescent light for cuttings on the bottom main plants flowering.

Have 600w HPS on the way.

THERMOMETER AND HYGROMETER MININUM MAXIMUM MEMORY METER.

Female seeds.

100mm Flexi Aluminium ducting.

4inch Carbon Filter.

Organic Nutraints.

Im as good as set so here is my question alot of people talking about computer fans. Do you just get one of these to bring the air in and the proper fan connected to the ducting and carbon filter or can you just get two computer fans one to bring in the air the other to blow it into carbon filter?

Abit stuck for cash!

Reagrds
Joe

the computer fans are for air movment within the grow chamber not as a
input or output you need a 4" RVK (normal grow fan) to use with a carbon
filter the computer fans will not have sufficent air flow (power) to draw the air
through the carbon filter mesh .
sorry but thats it link the RVK up to the carbon filter as an output and have
holes linked to ducting as an imput ,make sure the closet is air tight ! or as
good as you can make it .

if you have enough money left get a back draft shutter for the imput and put
a peice of fine satin (from a material shop on the input duct end to stop bugs
crawling in ( fine satin is the same as mosquito netting lol ).

peace

a 14 buck fart fan for a bathroom would be better.
Air movement and fresh air are the only way to go.
if you stuck for cash quit smoking and buy a fan.
600 watts is a good heater , and you should keep the temp controded by a attic fan controler.
Your trying to save money reguardless of the cost. A 4 in carbon fiter should last about one week when the start to bloom and then the house will smell like a pot farm.
Note you will also need a intake filter to filter out the incomming bugs and dust. Atleast a 12x12 in to 12x24 inch hepa filter.

Tim,

Isn't there a scientific principle or something that the noise of the fan is directly proportional to the cost? LOL

Cheap fart fan/Very Noisy<----->Not so cheap Vortex/Very Quiet

I use a rough filter , panty hose over a frame
2 a normal house filter
3 a hepa filter from dyi
The reason for three is to get big dirt, little dirt, and real clean.
by supending air device from bungy cords and use duct tube, like dryer tubing you can get rid most noise.

answer to rev.green

er no lol sanclem was telling him to get a bathroom shower fan not a vortex lol.. i got a vortex there quiet i no but only if you remove the fan vibrations after that all you got to worrie about is the noise from the air movement..... cheap fans can be quiet you just have to look around anyway cheap fans are normally not as powerful therefore not as fast spinning and not as loud ...
