I am getting ready to move into a new house. This is my idea of what I will be building, and comments or suggestions please....

I do not show a carbon filter in the drawing, but I will be getting one.

See, that's what I'm talking about. That's probably the most thought out plan I've seen a new grower come up with on this board. Most of the time the questions are like this:

"Yeah, uhh, I got some seed out of this bag of schwag the other day. I started them in some Dixie cups and they're sittin' in my window. What else do I need to harvest big buds in under a month? Oh, and how do I hide the smell from my parents????"

You've obviously done your homework and have a decent understanding of what is required, and to that I give you kudos.

The only thing I can think of is the A/C unit. If it's necessary, you'll have a humidity issue. A/C will lower your RH to a pretty low level. Although they don't like it too humid, some is good. I like to keep my humidity around 50% or so. It's funny, but so many people are convinced that this is a plant indigenous to a tropical climate and they require a highly humid environment, when the opposite is true.

I think you're well on your way to becoming a successful cannabis farmer.

the only thing i can recommend about your set-up is going to a 1000w as opposed to 2-400w. you'll actually use less electricity firing up a 1000w ballast than 2-400w's. i switched to 1000watters a year ago & wont ever go back. anyone want to buy a few 400w ballasts? r

I have a 1000mh, but I thought the dual bulb full spectrum light would be better for flowering.

The A/C is due to the fact that this will be on the second floor of a house with no central air. My last grow was in a basement, and issues with humidity and cold/heat kept stressing my plants.

I am still debating nutes. I don't have a PH or TDS pen. All I have been useing are PH test strips and a cheap soil PH/moisture meter. I was thinking of going with the Foxfarm kit or the International House of Guano kit.

nice for a first timer lol ...lol cali ,what do i do now lol. if your pulling out all the stops on this one,why not build a diy hydro set up instead of soil ?
yes you need ph &tds/cf/ec pens (you can just use a ph ) it will cost a little but you will get all your money back and more in your first harvest !

thats the thing with converting soil to hydro if its costs u 100 quid for the set up and 100 quid for the extra tools then you harvest 40/50 % more you get it all back .
200 quid thats like 2 oz lol like one plant .or in calis world of massive plants lol 25% of one plant .i love you dude : ) . i would love to grow at that height but i dont have the space .

peeeeeaaaaaccccce
