What lights to buy

zcg Registered on May-21-2007 More User Info Message #17436 posted by zcg (Info) May 22, 2007 08:48:22 ET I am setting up and want to buy 1 type of light to use all the time, i see propagation lights and start lights on this page (http://discount-hydro.com/GardenLightFluor.asp),, what should i use if i only buy 1 kinda light?

george j warner Registered on Sep-02-2006 More User Info Message #17440 posted by george j warner (Info) May 23, 2007 09:40:02 ET In Reply to: What lights to buy posted by zcg (Info) May 22, 2007 08:48:22 ET firstly how many plants you want to grow in how big area? that will give you the wattage : 2.5 x 2.5ft =250 3 x 3 ft = 400watt 4 x 4 ft = 600watt 7 x 7 ft = 1000watter if you want a grow light for veg and flowering get a MH (metal halide ) you can do both with a HPS (high pressure sodium) but it turns out better in veg (MH) therefore better in flowering! unless you want a High Output Flo (HOF) for veg (cheap ish) and a HPS for flowering (thats what i do : ) up to you laterz

It runs cool and quiet and uses less electricity without losing any lumens. I would look into them. Worm's Way carries them I believe.
