so stable strains can be inbread with no further variation problems right?? i grow once or twice per year indoor and im tired of ordering seeds of hybrids and not being able to keep the seeds of my favs in stock. after f2 they go all to shit most of the time so i wanna be able to breed a little so i can keep seeds in stock. I know afghani and skunk 1 are stable strains but there has to be many more. anyone who could name me a few stable strains would be a big help. thanks alot.

These "stable" strains are not truly stable. They are stable in relation to many other strains, especially hybrids, but they are still variable. If you try to make seeds using these strains you may end up with the same problem, but it should take longer for it to happen and to a lesser degree. The only way to avoid this from happening is to use large populations, cloning, or to have a truly stable strain (but if it were a true IBL it would suck). The only other that I know of off hand is Durban poison.

why continue to grow from seed? keep your best female as a mother and clone it. clones give you consistant quality and you won't have to worry about males. A good mother can produce for years. Find the strain you like best and clone it, thats the way to go.
