I have a NL X SK female that I pollinated with a Moroccan Afghani male. I only pollinated 6 small buds, and I can see the seed pods forming already. She's in her 4th week of flowering and just now starting to form crystals. My question is, do I just harvest the buds at the recommended 8th week, dry and and cure the bud then collect the seeds or should I harvest the seedless buds and let the pollinated buds stay on the plant for another week on 12/12 until I harvest them?

the plant will let you know when it's ready by slightly (at first) splitting the husk the seed grows in and exposing a slice of the mature seed that is easy to see...takes about 5-6 weeks. do not go by the sensi plants as they take longer to ripen...and if you wait until the sensi is done before harvesting the seeded plant you will have probs keeping the seed in the husk until you're ready. iow, keep a separate eye on the seeded plant...

Well the male dropped pollen right at 2 weeks of 12/12. I collected the pollen and hit a few buds three different times. So I should be able to harvest at week 7 to week 8. Right on schedule! Thanks for the input.

they must have been already into flower a bit when put into 12\12 as they take a couple weeks just to make the transition from veg then another couple weeks to make the pollen sacs...

Actually I sprayed them with Sensa Spray the night before I put them on 12/12 cycle. They showed pre-flowers 4 days later! Then I sprayed them again after 10 days of 12/12. They wilted for about 4 days and have been really health ever since. The male had only male flowers and I haven't found any male flowers on the female as of yet. Of course I killed the male already, well actually it died. They were veged for one month. Then put on 12/12. The female is about 24 inches tall with what seems to be the making of 2 10 inch buds and two more side shoots with 4 inch buds, plus all the buds in between. I topped her at the 3rd node. Wish me luck that I don't loose my seeds if they pop open and fall off.

I've used Sensa Spray before and it works every time. It's a pink fluid that when mixed with water releases ethylene gas. Same gas bananas and apples give off as they ripen. It's supposed to increase the number of female bud sites, but it "won't turn a male plant female". But I've heard that Sensi Spray will turn male plants female. I've only been able to find it in other countries. Like in Holland, Europe. I'm not sure it can turn male plant female, but I'd like to try it sometimes. That's if I could get it through the mail.
