Hello all! I'm in my second grow of Bubblegum. Seeds did not come with recommendations for flowering time. Last time I went to flowering after 8 weeks and harvested after another 8 weeks in flowering. Results were pretty good, especially for my first ever grow... about 1.5 oz per plant and a good high.

This time I'd like to improve a bit if I can. If I go to flowering a bit earlier, will that reduce my yield substantially? Anyone know how long breeders suggest flowering Bubblegum? I'd like to wait as long as possible so as to get max yield and potency but don't want to wait too long and get lotsa CBDs and hence "couch lock". I prefer a more up high... more head than body.

Anyone with experience/advice on Bubblegum?

the lowdown on bubblegum ...
they prefer hydro rather than soil so a dwc will do wonders

veg time if you reduce it alot yes the yield will drop the bigger the vegged plant the bigger the yeild ... dont prune the center shoot (main stem) you can snip the (the leaf tips)of the side branches to make more bud sites and spray them with "Nitozyme" in veg when the lighs are off .

harvest after 9 weeks not 8! it produces loads of resin and extra yeild the last week same with most plants .its more indica than sativa so an tight indica yeild as you know.
if you use a dwc system the veg time will produce a bigger plant anyway .so if you arnt using one now and didnt before the vegged plant after 8weeks will be twice as big as the one before.

hope this helps

George, thanks for the great info. I had actually ordered Blueberry seeds but they mistakenly sent Bubblegum. Hence, I didn't have much info on flowering time, whether to top, etc. Your input will be quite beneficial with this second grow and is greatly appreciated.

I'm somewhat torn as to whether to go to flowering now or wait another week. For my first grow, my room had a low ceiling (about 5 feet at its highest) so I tied the tops over which resulted in a bastardized SOG/ScrOG with numerous buds of relatively the same size. This time my room has nearly 9 feet of height at its peak so I have not trained at all. I'm at nearly half the height of the room so with at a 2:1 ratio it'll be topped out by the end of the grow if I don't tie them over. Should I go ahead and flower now or is it not too late to begin training if I wait another week and then train as I go to flowering?

I'll definitely wait 9 weeks to harvest this time. As I said, I didn't have any info on flowering time and didn't want to wait too long and get too many CBDs. Even harvesting after 8 weeks last time resulted in some pretty potent bud, so I'm excited about the results I'll get from an extra week.

Thanks again for the advice!!

i prefer not to train a plant in flowering as it can cause a plant (sometimes) to
get a little stressy ... a pinch and bend method in veg on the other hand can
do wonders ,but only do this if you reall really need to .

growing plants in 5ft space is easy just dont let them get over 3 ft and your
walk it . thats with the conclusion the a system/soil is 1ft and the light is air
cooled that uses 1 ft..if your not using air cooled and you need a litle more
room flower a
bubble gum when it reaches about 14 -16 inches then it will be under the
2.5-3ft marker at the end of flowering ..

peace and laterz
