durban poison or powerplant

yummie Registered on Jan-29-2008 More User Info Message #41146 posted by yummie (Info) January 29, 2008 09:13:16 ET ive got dutch passion durban poison and also power plant seeds and i was wondering if someone could tell me anything about them. i am growing indoor for the first time and i want to know how bad theyre going to perfume the air. i live in a small apartment with paper-thin walls and i dont want to get ripped off.

It now has three volumes, all available at amazon.com. Volumes 1 and 2 which I own do not mention Durban Poison. However, I have a personal notebook which contains several quotes I've collected about Durban Poison and my notebook reads: "DURBAN POISON: racy high...low smell...one of the purest sativas...tastes like black licorice...weak in potency...difficult grow, always one thing or the other wrong."

As you can see people have completely opposite opinions on the Powerplant smell during a grow. Hate to confuse you. Set up with an exhaust into a carbon filter and you won't have to worry.

(Info) February 01, 2008 03:35:09 ET In Reply to: durban poison or powerplant posted by yummie (Info) January 29, 2008 09:13:16 ET dutch passion's durban poison was among a group of seeds that were my 1st 'store-boughts'...way back in '97 from hbc seeds! it was a great plant with no probs (grown outdoors in the desert sw). great flavor, great yield and excellent potency for a light sativa...long lasting and perfect for day toking. they finished much earlier than most (like 1st to 2nd week of september) and also made these huge beercan size buds that were some of the fattest i've ever seen! i have heard since the strain is a bit different than it was way back then...it's been over 10 years after all! but they have probably retained most of these traits and would very much like to hear a report or two about them as they grow and ripen! never done powerplant but have smoked it...and yeah, it's good enough for my garden but just haven't gotten around to trying it out yet.

(Info) February 01, 2008 03:35:09 ET well it turns out im not going to flower them inside(i dont want to worry about smell, lighting , and bassically the extra money and paranoia of having them inside) i have decided to clone them and put the clones outside though.i definately will keep posted about them. sorry im so disorganized (i posted this in the setup area already). but here is a picture of the durban poison sprout that has came up in just a couple of days after germination.(i hate not knowing if it will take root, so this is very exciting to me) im so glad i found this place, o-ya and both seeds are feminized, but i hear that could be bad(dont want he-she flowers) is there truth to this?
