I left another message on the Basic board before I read this, so you can read both if you'd like.
Anyway, if you're just using distilled water, then what's the purpose of checking the pH. The only reason to adjust pH is to make sure that the level is within acceptable limits to make nutrient uptake possible. Superthive isn't a nutrient. It's a long list of vitamins and hormones, and in my humble opinion isn't for growing herb. If you have only been using distilled water then your plant is suffering from major nutrient deficiencies. Plus, you're hand watering in straight Hydroton. That stuff doesn't hold any water at all. At the very minimum you would need to be watering that 6 times a day. I would leave a dripper on that thing 24/7. You need to read up on hydroponics. Those pH tester solutions suck. They don't tell you a damn thing. Why do you think they only cost $9.95 and a good pH meter cost $100+? You need to give you plant some food, right away.
Here's what I would do if I were you. You'll have to fork out a few bucks, but it will give you a decent return on your investment if you do.
~Buy a nutrient line. GH Flora series or better yet Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Grow and Bloom. They're a one part nutrient. No mixing, just dump it in your res.
~Invest in a good pH meter and TDS/EC meter. You absolutely have to have those if you're going to grow hydro.
~Get Root 66, Hygrozyme or some other supplement to help in root health.
~Get you T5 right on top of that thing. You can run your HID, but it isn't necessary right now. But a plant can never have too much light. They can be shocked if you move them from a T5 system to straight July sunshine, but I don't think you're doing that.
~Temperature. As long as you're comfortable in your grow room then your plant is. Your problem isn't temperature. Yes, temp does play an important role, but your problem isn't associated with temp.
~Your air isn't your problem. That thing isn't big enough to deplete the CO2 levels in your space. You'll eventually have to worry about that, but not now.
~Buy a good book on Hydro. You don't necessarily have to buy a Hydro Marijuana book, just any hydro book.
Trust me.
