Hiring company uses on-site drug testing?

I normally substitute my urine sample which is what I will be doing this time as well, but instead of going to a lab, this company does their own testing. Does anyone have any idea of what this entails? Is it just a strip test for THC and opiates?, Is it less evasive say than the Quest lab tests? Do they test temperature of urine as well? Do I have to be observed while urinating? Please help. I need to start Monday 3/3 and this will be done that day. Hopefully I'll be able to keep my sample somewhat warm. Not sure of the time they will want to have that done. Thanks!

Is there someway I can get around this? I've read that these only detect pot usage 24-48 hours prior to the test. Is this an accurate assumption? Anyone know the percentage of companies using this test or are UA's still the most common method? Please help! Thanks.

My plans for using clean urine from my friend has just gone down the drain as she told me she's been on suboxone for 7 months. Should I still use her urine or find someone elses who I know is really clean? Please help, need this question answered before Mon. 3/3/08. Thanks!

They cannot observe you while you pee, period. It is completely against the law. They also cannot frisk you. They may ask you to empty your pockets, etc., but cannot pat you down OR observe you while you pee. Most on-site tests are just the basic home-test variety. If you have access to synthetic urine, absolutely use that! If you have someone who will pee for you that day before the test, then use that but make sure in either event you use a pocket handwarmer to maintain a temperature range of 90-100 degrees. If the sample is warmed to that temperature to begin with, just place a rubberband around the handwarmer to hold it against the bottle and crotch it. Your body will regulate the temp naturally to prevent it from getting too warm. Don't try any of that home-remedy or masking stuff - None of it works. Synthetic urine is THE way to go.

Taking the on-site test was a breeze! It was totally unsupervised and really stress free! I was given an all-in-one cup, told to pee up to the 40 ml mark and come back. They then used a probe to break the seal and let the urine flow into the testing part. Which of course was negative on all 5 standard drug screens. (I subbed my pee with a clean friends). No taped off sink or blue dye in toilet like healthworks or quest. I didn't even wash my hands cause it was so lame that I was afraid to make them think I was doing something suspicious if I did turn on the faucet. Funny or what? At first I was terrified that I would be given a swab test because I thought that who in their right minds would want to handle anyones pee? So I did some research on that and found out that if you stay clean for 24-48 hrs, there should be no saliva residue to detect the presence of THC, but my fears were unfounded because those test are relitively new and costly and 98% of companies will use urine testers, so anyway, I just thought I'd help someone else out who might be wondering what to expect if the new employer gives you a choice to go to either a lab or do an on-site test. Me? I'd do an on-site test now anytime. Take care and enjoy!!!!
