On a couple ocasions after smoking the good herb I have went into what I call psycho savage mode and have had some off the best workouts of my life. I have been able to concentrate on each individual movement making sure I do it slowly with as perfect symmetry as possible. When I do pushups I will put a penny or a dime on the ground and concentrate on the center helping myself to find my center. Its crazy because I thought smoking pot makes u lazy but it does the exact opposite to me. Anyone ever experience this or am I just an alien

pot does make me extremely lazy. only once have I gone and worked out after smoking pot, and while I was focused and determined to have a good workout, thanks to the pot... I feel that smoking it makes me unmotivated to do so

if you are motivated to exercise after smoking pot and you find it helps you then more power to you, I envy you

Been there done that!!
Yes, you can have positivte effects of
using before ant activity... you are
dealing with several different components here.
I take it your young..when I was in my late teens
I would do the same thing..of course I'd smoke before I had \to go to church.. smoke before I went to work,
smoked before...well you get the idea!!First there are two different distinct families of herb.. sativa which will get your heart racing aliven you and make you more creative ...last spring I got ahold of some that made me feel 20 yrs old again!!!{I'm 45}..then there is indica which of course you can be creative and what not, but will knock your ass to the floor and sedate the hell out of you!As time goes on and both your body gets older and your tolerance levels increase, you will often get what is called "amotivational syndrome".. you fing more and more reward from smoking and less motivation to seek new goals and challenges..important to keep a balance in life..if you spend a few minuites in quiet meditation, imagery is another way to describe it ,, image your proper breathing tech. as you lift , the feeling your muscles will have during a proper lift, etc.. and you will gain as much if not more control over your progress..I'm def. not anti-weed at all.. but wonder ..when you put those chemicals in your bloodstream immediatly before working out there has to be some neg. effects on the potntial for cellular growth, oxygen uptake, cellular reair, etc. you'll get an amazing high if you get your "physical" one first and then add THC to those already earned endorphines..either way kepp pumpin' iron man!! Thanks for the responses but JCOut its a little different than that. I am not an everyday smoker..I wish I was but I live a very introverted lifestyle. Its funny because it doesn't matter if its schawg, mids, indie, or the haze I always get extremely motivated to do the things I love. I suffer from depression and anxiety and this has taken a bit of a hold on my life but when I am able to smoke things work for me. You might be right being young and 20 years down the road my experiences will drastically change but workouts while high is probably the biggest release I have. Now mind you I am no meathead or gym rat but with weed comes motivation for me. Whether i'm stretchin it out, doin push ups, playin some b ball or takin a hike this motivation comes out of nowhere. Time will tell on this one. Happy Holidays all im Out

Peace be with you
