Can the Democrats survive this. While many polls show whoever wins the nomination would be competitive with McCain I just can't see it. Especially if Clinton gets the nomination via the Superdelegates. Blacks will be pissed and no Democrat can win without the Black vote. And now we have Obama's preacher exposed as the racist piece of shit that he is, and Obama stands beside him. I can't believe the American people would be dumb enough to put Clinton or Obama in the White House over McCain, who is clearly the most qualified, and has given much more to his country than either Democrat. I gotta believe ultimately McCain will win. I pray I'm right and this Chaos within the Dems will cause them to lose in November.

What do you all think????

hillary is too selfish to fall on her sword like romney...she'll fight it out to the bitter end...but that is democracy, right? better messy and in the open than tidy and in the back room

the video of obama's preacher(?) saying "god damn america" is dreadful, but it will be ancient history by the time the elections roll around...it's not like obama said it

mccain is reasonably moderate for a republican but he still has to get around going into the 08 election smelling like bush's ass...i'd say the race is still up in the air...may the lessor of two evil men win!

fascinating coverage though...our elections are positively boring compared to yours...we don't hear anything about religion, hating canada, adultery, prostitutes, illegitimate children, adultery, racial background, or monsters...who cares about the really important issues when there's a three ring circus going on 24-7? i can't wait to see the next act...16 democrats piling out of a clown car? a bucket full of confetti? WHEE!

My gut instinct is that the superdelegates are gonna give it to hitlary. And the blacks will raise hell. We'll see.

but billary is a friend to the blacks...if she had lived 150 years ago, she would have loved to have owned obama!

i dunno: i think obama has more momentum, better verbal traction, and fewer skeletons in the trunk...he's got a lot fewer miles on the odometer, so we don't know what his repair record will be like, but i'm betting he can cooperate with the republican imports better than hillary

i have no idea what his policies are but he sounds great...hillary sounds like fingernails on the blackboard

Higherminded,
You are so right, when you put it that way, this whole thing is a crap shoot. Not only did we put that moron in office once, we did it twice!!!
Who knows what will happen. I would have for sure put my money on Barack, but with this latest round of negative news and his racist ties, I am in serious doubt.
Hydrohog,
Why are you refering to Mrs. Clinton as Hitlary? There is nothing at all hitler'ish' about her. In fact, she is quite the opposite. It is your dearly beloved leader that is a want to be facist dictator. Shame on you.

No Shame on me,

Shame on you for letting Hitlary fool you. She craves power and will do anything to get it, including pimp out chelsea, stay with bill for political convenience, etc.

I'll continue calling her hitlary, and obama a piece of shit whitey hating racist.

Interesting moniker Phil. I am hoping for Barack, cuz Hillary doesn't do anything for me. Barack, although not someone who is experienced like they say, is obviously extremely talented when it comes to politics. The difference between him and the others is he seems to exhibit humility and experience empathy. Hillary is not capable of either. She will wear whatever suit she needs to to get in power. Sometimes I think it should be about what you want to achieve, not who you want to rule. She won't be any different than Bush, except she might throw a bone to the liberal crowd once in a great while. Whoever it is tho, is going to get a heaping mess of crap, left behind by GW, no doubt.
best wishes,
HM

..I refuse to believe that people were that dumb.
...And, I refuse to believe that this whole circus is genui ne./?/ˇ
....In other words, it seems to me that this discussion about Hillary-Obama-McCain,
would not exsist unless it was designed to be an 'issue'!)?(

.stupid garbage issues are blown far out of proportion!
..fodder for the masses!
..diversion for fools and sheople so they wont discuss $4 bucks a gallon,and/or the raped economy!

..Bottom line:
..things are fucked,,and they are only gonna get fuckeder.
..and all the sheep are o ut in the pasture bleating about stupid bullshit elections that they cant even verify, or know who and how the votes are counted!!!.
...fuck...I'll say it again...
..Anyone who is going to vote, should be able to know, or tell me who, and how their vote i s tallied!
..
.call me a crazy village idiot bangin' a gong....
..I think voting machines/ accuracy/ integrity/ transparency is a bigger issue than who you are going to vote for.
...everyone assumes it's OK,,and that THEY have taken care of most of the problems...
....Who the fuck are 'THEY'???

Morning Lefty, no I am getting where you are coming from. Actually was thinking about it earlier while contemplating if I should be frugal and eat breakfast at home, or do my American duty and purchase Starbucks Spangled Coffee.

Watching the Sunday news, it feels like things are being fiddled with, have been fiddled with and will be fiddled with. Too much obscurity, too many allowances for confusion in the voting process. Confusion seems to be a successful methodology for some it seems. Can't see the fire for the smoke...

Maybe I should clarify regarding Bush. I think Bush represented big cars, big America, being stupid and not having to change. He did not represent the progressive factor, rather the regressive factor. There are alot of serious issues to deal with in this world now, not just evil people but issues that deal with the survival of mankind in regards to resources and quality of life for the average joe in regards to jobs, etc. Having a leader to blame for us not making those changes gives alot of people an out. I guess thats what we need leaders for, someone to blame for us not taking responsibility for ourselves. Is that an intelligence factor, a lazy factor or a fear factor? Probably a combination of all of it.

Irregardless tho, people are allowing themselves to be manipulated for the benefit of the few, and the interests of the few are not the interest of the masses, no matter how many sparkles they put on it.

Even if the few are fiddling the masses, people need to still vote. Don't make it easy for them. There is always power in numbers, just ask Starbucks.

best wishes,
HM
