A few passages about false prophets...
"Watch out for false prophets... By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit." (Matthew 7:15-18)
And, as John the Baptist said of the Lord's first appearance, "The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire."
Jesus (John 10:30-38) says: "I and my Father are one... If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe..."
