Additional footage from Hillary's Bosnia trip has just surfaced and it seems she wasn't "misspeaking" after all!

Perhaps the most telling aspect of the primary is watching the left turn on its
own.

Reagan was the best president I had -

Clinton had fortuitous timing - his presidency coincided with the tech bubble.
The increased wealth and subsequent tax revenues erased the deficit. In
addition, no disaster such as Katrina came about during his presidency nor
did the US get called into war.

He sat idly for weeks while Serbians killed thousands and did nothing while
nearly 1,000,000 Rwandans were slaughtered. He was directly responsible,
through the devastating sanctions, of the deaths of 500,000 Iraqi and
children.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=lK_QshS2EW8

He couldn't get keep his pants on while any floozey was within 15 feet and
spent the last 3 years of his presidency lying to Congress, grand juries, and
pretty much everyone else.

He had multiple opportunities to kill the most vile man on the planet and did
nothing while Bin Laden plotted the death of thousands of Americans.

I guess the inability to tell the truth is sexually transmitted:

Hillarys admitted lies:

• Chelsea was jogging around the Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001. (She was
in bed watching it on TV.)

• Hillary was named after Sir Edmund Hillary. (She admitted she was wrong.
He climbed Mt. Everest five years after her birth.)

• She was under sniper fire in Bosnia. (A girl presented her with flowers at
the foot of the ramp.)

• She learned in The Wall Street Journal how to make a killing in the futures
market. (It didn't cover the market back then.)

Hillary's not-yet-admitted lies:

• She didn't know about the FALN pardons.

• She didn't know that her brothers were being paid to get pardons that
Clinton granted.

• Taking the White House gifts was a clerical error.

• She didn't know that her staff would fire the travel office staff after she told
them to do so.

• She didn't know that the Peter Paul fundraiser in Hollywood in 2000 cost
$700,000 more than she reported it had.

• She opposed NAFTA at the time.

• She was instrumental in the Irish peace process.

• She urged Bill to intervene in Rwanda.

• She played a role in the '90s economic recovery.

• She had nothing to do with the New Square Hasidic pardons (after they
voted for her 1,400-12 and she attended a meeting at the White House about
the pardons).

• She negotiated for the release of refugees in Macedonia (who were released
the day before she got there.

• The billing records showed up on their own.

• She thought Bill was innocent when the Monica scandal broke.

• She was always a Yankees fan.

And the other candidate?

http://youtube.com/watch?v=GFz1X1OCw8E

Don't tell me words don't matter...

I actually don't care if Obama gets elected President - he would be the best
thing for the conservative/libertarian/classic liberal movement since Jimmy
Carter.

And that would lead us right into the fertile ground that got my most favorite
President elected...

More good news for Obama - the incendiary Reverend Jeremiah A. Wright Jr,
the same man who said of Louis Farrakhan that he "truly epitomized
greatness" while giving Louis, you guessed it, the Reverend Jeremiah A.
Wright Jr Trumpeter Award.

Thinks this guy is a megalomaniac? Just a bit? It gets better..

The Trinity United Church of Christ's retirement gift to the Reverend is multi-
million dollar home in suburban Tinley Park that is currently under
construction.

This is going to get way worse before it gets better - this is the guy that
Obama called his spiritual mentor? Someone tell me again why this is
someone to trust?

A quintessential Chicago politician who greased his first election, played the
"game" with dirt like Rezko, had the, um, "luck" to have his toughest
challengers in both the primary and general Senate election drop out due to
extremely well-timed disclosures of marital disharmony, and had his family
indoctrinated by the hate-filled, and worse yet, delusional thoughts of a
"reverend"? For 20 freakin' years??? A "man of god" who lives in the lap of
luxury at the expense of South Side Chicagoans?

Oh, wait, just a week after Obama said this:

"I can no more disown him than I can disown the black community. I can no
more disown him than I can my white grandmother"

He now says this:

“Had the reverend not retired, and had he not acknowledged that what he had
said had deeply offended people and were inappropriate and
mischaracterized what I believe is the greatness of this country, for all its
flaws, then I wouldn’t have felt comfortable staying at the church,” Obama
said Thursday during a taping of the ABC talk show, “The View.” The interview
will be broadcast Friday.

I was in Chicago at a Father/Daughter dance at the Standard Club. The
gentleman who invited me said that a Hyde Park liberal told him he didn't
think either Obama nor Clinton would carry a dozen states in the general. I
scoffed in disbelief.

Not any longer.... heck, if this keeps going, Americans wouldn't buy an ice
cream cone from either one..

DDT, Dabullz, Torog,

Uh, you guys must be Hillaryites. What does the controversial Rev. Wright and the generosity of his 8,000 church members have to do with Hillary's so called misspeak?

You seem to have adopted her lame but characteristic tactic of trying to divert attention from her own failings by changing the subject and attacking an opponent. She claims she was "exhausted" and made and honest mistake. It's more like she was too tired to keep her web of fabrications untangled. This is one of the many reasons so many dislike and distrust her and why she will not be the Dem presidential candidate. And good riddance IMO.

Rather than hijacking my thread, why don't you start your own?

Sorry for the thread hijack - funny find on youtube btw!

The suggestion that the 8,000 members of the church was responsible for
the gift is erroneous - TUCC isn't a congregationalist church hierarchy. It has
a board of elders in which all decisions, particularly financial, are made with
input from the pastor who at the time was Reverend Jeremiah
A. Wright Jr.

The membership of TUCC is made up of South Side Chicago African-
Americans, one of the poorest subsets of folks in the US. On the backs of
their earnings is this opulent, extravagant palace for two. Everything that one
could say negative about the "Christian church" could be said about this man
and his church.

Poor subject to rich, "man of god" living extravagantly, rampant unapologetic
racism, power grabbing, etc.. Of course, by choosing to be party to this kind
of heresy, Barack has further exposed his now known shady character.

Rezko, Pritzker, Wright - The Three Amigos of the anointed one...

BTW - I had a post in this thread about Hillary and her lies, admitted and
otherwise.

Hey Puff,

I heard that she got the facts right in her book and they seem to parallel the events that actually happened. Some say she said those things in order to make herself more desirable as a candidate. Who knows for sure? I am not a Hillary hater. I could go either way with my vote between Hillary & Obama.

As it relates to me, I thought it was a "political humor" thread. I thought I kept it along those same lines, but I guess not to the extent of talking about the very same political figure that you brought up to begin the thread. Sorry if it offended you. Personally I like to see the twist and turns certain threads can take and think it's kinda boring when unreasonable boundries are placed on threads, but that's just me I guess.

Puff....that clip was great. I loved it! "Mistake" my ass. I hate that the press just picks up the word and perpetuates it. It was no mistake. It was a fucking lie! Let's call it for what it was. Hillary will say and do anything to get the nomination, including destroying the Dem changes in November in the process. I say it is time for Al Gore and John Edwards to step forward, support Obama and tell the self-centered bitch to go away. I'll bet anything that the Republicans have at least a half dozen women lined up who Bill has fooled around with since he left the White House just ready to go to disgrace her should she get the nomination.

DDT,

"Sorry if it offended you"

No offense here, and my apologies for roping you into the fray when my quarrel was probably with others. I have a fair amount of animosity built up around Billary over the years, and tend to have a knee jerk reaction to all things Hillary these days. I'm savoring the payback from the Kennedys, John Kerry, Peña, Bill Bradley, Patrick Leahy, most recently Richardson, and the many others who have chafed under the Clintons' heavy hand or don't care for the lowness of her current campaign. Payback is a bitch and I'm sure those chickens coming home to roost sure do stink. But it's foolhardy to ever count the Clintons out until the last dog is dead as Bill reportedly said once.

Torog,

Thanks for the apology, but not necessary. I don't normally pitch a bitch about thread drift and I'm probably more guilty than most of going off topic. And I agree that the twists and turns of threads is cool most times. I think my Hillary fixation got the best of me. :-)
