In a lot of american cities the public transportation is crappy to non existent so most of us do a lot of driving. When I lived in Germany the public transportation was great. However either way your point is well taken. I thought in Europe gas was between 6-10 dollars a gallon depending on the country. Didn't know it had gotten that bad. People would be crying in the streets around here if gas cost that much. But our taxes aren't quite as bad either. There are however some politicians that would like to move america closer to europes socialist government control every damn thing way of living so we may one day catch up to you. DDT
