Does anyone know if a doctor writes you a prescription for marijuana if it's only good for the State that you live in? Can you get the prescription filled in another State? I know a doctor here who I could see once I got the money for the office visit but am curious if the prescription would work elsewhere.
Thanks.
best wishes,
HM

in most states who have legalized med-use...ya don't get an actual prescription but rather a 'license to use'. as far as i know only california has a co-op system in place where one can go to for buds...the rest leave us on our own to figure out how and where to get it which is why most of us grow our own or have a 'caregiver' offer space and time to grow it for us.

Thanks you guys. I am trying to figure out if it's worth my time. Once I come up with the money for the office visit for the doctor that would approve it for my condition, I am not sure it would do any good. Last I checked mj laws in this state were only for the dying, the sick and chronic pain people weren't on it yet. I don't know how tight Richardson is holding the reins on it either, since he is running for President and all that. I was thinking cali might be different and if that would be an option.

The other reason to be quite honest is that my health issues definitely involve pain, but I am a little worried about getting put on a list, which is what they do here, even if the condition is approved. In the wrong hands that list could make you a target. Maybe I am being paranoid, but hey I am a pot smoker, lol.

Anyway, just thinking out loud here and thanks much for the feedback. Kind of in uncharted territory with the medical mj thing and just want to tread carefully.
best wishes,
HM
