Okay folks bear with me as I am new at this
here it is in a nutshell
My husband has been suffering for over 10 years now with debilitating headaches : cause , degenerative disc disease , herniated discs , and nerve damage in spine all stemming from an auto accident
He is currently being treated at a chronic pain center , their answer : morphine & celebrex for the rest of his life
He never has a day w/out chronic pain .
Docs say surgery is too risky & some surgery possible but mostly experimental
Our son is 14 years old & was developing fine until his 18 month vaccines left him with siezures for months , then determined to have autism
Medical community denies the cause ( surprise , surprise )
He is very verbal but has communication / social skill problems , adjustment issues , behavior issues , anxiety , ocd behaviors , etc....
We have never allowed him to be on any mind / body destroying pharmaceutical psychotrophics .
Long story short , both I feel could greatly benefit from medicinal marijuana .
We are willing to sell our house to relocate but have no idea where is best .
California ? Canada ( very long process & don't know how they would accept my husband & sons conditions )
I would greatly appreciate some insight from whomever would like to offer it , thanks , sanctified97

There is a load of information on the web. Check NORML for states with medical laws or decriminalization and related news. California isnt exactly the cheapest real estate market at the moment, although with the economic situation that might get a wee bit better in the next few years. There is also a good deal of info on other herbal remedies, just make sure you check for the science behind them...cuz there is a bunch of rot too. Good luck and God bless!

Hi there!- Haven't been on Marihemp for a while. Go to California, preferably around Mendecino or Humboldt (avoid Del Norte and Siskiyou)! Get copies of your family's medical records and then hit NORML's list of cannabis friendly doctors. Virtually everyone who has a legit medical problem is approved.

Out of the big cities is more affordable. Many counties have FREE after school programs- I know my little rural school has one, and we do have an autistic boy in the program. Go for it, dear!

I work in special ed, so I understand where you are coming from! You may find helpful info at treatingyourself.com. Here is a post I did there that I KNOW you will find interesting. Hang in there, hon!

Hi there. It's really difficult to need some non toxic herbal treatment,
and the law impose you to use chemical drugs that can damage you. It's
also infuriating that with their chemical vaccination your child
developed autism. Anyway, i don't know much about where you should move
in the states. Just look for a country where cannabis is decriminalized.
Without knowing specific states in North AMerica, i know that Portugal,
Spain, Holland, U.K. and other E.U. countries have passed laws that
allow personal use of cannabis both for medicinal and recreational
purposes...

I have lived in Maine all my life except the 5 yrs in the Army and have smoked cannabis for 28 yrs now with ZERO trouble with L.E.O.s(Law Enforcement Officers). It started recreationally at first and as years of HARD LABOR and Degenerative Disc Disease/ Herniated Disc (self diagnosed) and a motorcycle spill that broke parts of my head (20 stitches)it has been medical. Thank GOD for one of HIS/HER miraculous HERBS as stated in Genesis on PAGE ONE of THE GOOD BOOK.

I would be all whacked out on PHARMACUETICAL POISON if it wasn't for a practically HARMLESS PLANT. I have tried their POISON before when prescribed by my dentist after extractions and found they gave me light-headedness, anxiety, and nausea so I chose long ago that pills weren't for me.

As I said I live in MAINE which voted YES on Question 2 in 1999 for MED CANNABIS which also made small quantities of cannabis possesion the lowest enforcement priority by L.E.O.s up to 1 1/2 OZs and in 2002 was voted to change up to 2 1/2 OZs. I have not personally chose to seek this medical option for a couple reasons. 1.)I don't think I'm in bad enough shape to qualify and thats probably partly my fault for not going to the doctors enough and just toughing it out and self medicating. This leaves me with limited documentation on medical conditions but that should not matter how I chose to medicate, ITS STILL MY BODY.

Back to the situation at hand, come to Maine and take it from there. I personally just keep my nose clean and try not to draw too much undue attention on myself . I don't smoke and drive but am pretty dangerous on here after self medicating. Come to Maine find a medicine-man to fill prescriptions, Find a REAL HEALER and learn to GROW. Its not that hard once you know how. I say YOU and YOUR husband have the power to decide your son's fate and how you and he and your son choose to medicate. Keep medicating and stay sane if possible and definetely FLY LOW under THE RADAR. Maine's not perfect , we have no state run programs to help or dispensaries. I have been taking only Ibuprofen q6h(every 6 hours) and inhaling cannabis smoke PRN (as needed)for pain for many years now, even with the last Vicodin presciption I just let expire on a shelf in my house. I begrudge no one for their choice of meds ie; Vicodin, Percocet, Oxycontin as alot of people I know and LOVE make these decisions daily. TO EACH HIS OWN.

Gotta go, before I do I wish you and yours all the best and hope things look up in the future.

PEACE

I live in Montana and we have the Medical Marijuana Law in effect here in our state. Also, Washington state has the same law. THe only trick in both states is, finding a Dr. who is willing to write the script. Untill they realize that they can NOT get into trouble withthe DEA, they are being hesitant.
Refer to UNITED STARTRES COURT OF APPEALS FOR THE NINTH CIRCUIRT :::: CONANT vs. WALTERS
I hope this helps in some way...Montanaman
