Best way to store MJ

biggabush Registered on May-06-2006 More User Info Message #45152 posted by biggabush (Info) May 11, 2006 17:16:31 ET What's the best way to store MJ so that it doesn't dry out, get crumbly, and generally nastified? I've put it in everything from handblown jars with a cork top, to little film canisters. I've also heard putting a piece of organic material (like a piece of an apple or something) in with the MJ helps keep it moist. So, if I plan on having it around for a month or more (I'm going on vacation and won't be back for three weeks) how can I keep it moist and fresh? Any help would be great. thanks!

Put it in a plastic baggy(with no seal) and then put it in the jar.

For me, I've used airtight containers. I've left in ziplock bags after pushing as much air out of it as I could. I've also left it in the freezer as I understood the freezing should preserve trichomes. Anything airtight and not exposed to humidity or extreme tempatures should do the trick.

Dont add any foreign stuff to your herb like orange peels, lemon peels, lettuce, etc if you want to store it for a long time. Just asking for some mold. I dont know who ever came up with that orange peel stuff but dont do it.

You soak it in water for 2 minutes, then wipe it dry and put it in the mason jar with your MJ. It will slowy release moisture with no mold. Works every time for me. Peace, Rabbit
