I happen to know a great amount of Pharmacology in addition to first hand experience, so let me say this:
Best way to lower tolerance: non-use. Within a day your tolerance should go down a good deal. This all depends on how much you smoke and what grade your smoking, to a large degree. D9-THC is fat soluble and remains in the body for weeks to months, depending on metabolism and most importantly, how much body fat your sporting around. The less amount of cannabanoids that are resident in your system (D9 and all its friends) the more effective the drug will be at achieving optimal desired effect. If you have very little body fat, your two weeks will probably do great, if your a bit stocky make it three. If within this time you experience any withdrawal type symptoms, don't blame anything but the culprit - i.e. yes Weed is addictive and yes you can have significant and debilitating withdrawal. If you find this to be true, consider perhaps making it not two weeks but forever - just a thought.
The myth of water is to large to destroy with facts now, but the fact is drinking a 40 gallon jug of H2O a day will not remove any significant amount from your system, merely the water soluabized metabolites that are processed at a pre-set , steady rate, unaffected by water consumption. Exercise releases the drug from you fat cell, making it prime for conversion into something the body can eliminate. For rapid elimination the best thing is exercise and east a lot of protein, even A LOT of protein, the more the better. The make things easier in your temporary abstinence I would recommend the amino acid Tyrosine, as it will make things easier by replenishing your brain with some of the most key chemicals that weed can deplete. Also before you smoke, an hour or two prior, taking tyrosine will make your high better! Not well known, this is, but true. Good luck, and my emails there if you have any questions, feel free to mail me. And please mail me your results, out of curiosity, I'd like to hear your story after your time off.
best of luck iD9
