It is imperative to nature for us to think of survival. This drive is probably not like your individual idea of survival. Continually, our mind wanders into territory that provides for the greatest form of survival; survival of the human race.
Everyday we see more and more of how humans are outright destroying Mother Earth. Global warming, might be a regular process or not, but the dim truth is that this world is only temporary. Whether we do it to ourselves with nuclear weapons, genetic engineering, starvation by killing the growing fields, or even some natural means, this earth will not last. Eventually it will be consumed by the Sun or a meteor or some other form of destruction will obliterate our humanly existence from the universe. Surely we have a drive for real survival. The best way to ensure survival of the human race is to expand our living environment beyond our own, “safe” earth.
We have been moving in that direction but the rate of human space exploration is very likely not such that it will allow us to survive, as a species. Well, one or two can live in space for a year or two but without real interest and activity, our hearts and minds are just not in it for the long term. This must change. We must start scattering so that it is less likely that a single celestial event will take out the entire human population.
One way we must increase our human life in the universe is to move quicker into space. We must begin living on the moon, on Mars and eventually deeper from our own Sun… Start Trek is still far off in the future. Well, the transporter and warp drive are far off; the rest of the stuff is here now. Thank you Gene Rodenberry, “Father of the Future.” The real deficiency in Star Trek was not the science but the funding. Never once did you hear Scotty say, “we don’t have the money for that captain!”
But it is not enough to just see the future. We must act out the future. And in our current reality we must find a way to pay for it. Ideally, the world full of all nations, races and creeds should do it but American cooperation with liars and cheats only hinders the progression. So it will be an American task of leadership.
As Americans we must use our ingenuity to secure our homeland and allies, but also plant our seeds throughout the universe. Let’s be real conquerors, not ones of this puny world but of this galaxy. That people of less worldly status chose to kill themselves and each other is only proof of survival of the fittest. Maybe someone with a god might be able to make a small difference but it is not likely a scenario of long term survival.
We must get off this planet quicker. We must get more people off. We must get them living off food and fuel they grow in space and water they conserve and convert. We must increase the rate of exploration. If the world cannot do it, America can. Russia could do it but it wouldn’t really share; might give you a ride for boatload of money though… Japan could do it but they have to worry too much about their earthly neighbors and would have to steal the best ideas from America. There are others that have money, people and knowledge that could do it, but they have no ambition or willingness to “take a chance.”
As Americans, we will undoubtedly join with some of our allies. Those countries that are small and desperate for just now nuclear weapons, they are going to miss out. But we will not be able to cooperate with all of our allies on this endeavor either. You people that are lost in the dark ages of past gods, we cannot afford to focus on the future and watch our back from you at such a close distance every moment of the day. You will have to stay out. It is surely unfair, but definitely more productive. Some people call it hate, some call it racism, but in truth, it is really just pure efficiency.
If statistics show for example that 90% of the crime is perpetuated by one race or local group of people, well, your best percentage of not having a crime committed against you is to stay out of their area and don’t let them come into yours. Plain and simple. If you cause trouble everyday on the bus, get ready to sit at the back or not get to ride at all. If you are one of those that are from that dark region but are not a criminal, don’t be surprised when you don’t get to sit up front. Never mind if you are not a criminal yourself, you live in that area. And as a people you are not parenting or governing your people in a productive manner.
Americans take pride that we are very much a melting pot of world peoples. When the human race survives, it will have the greatest peaceable gene-pool possible, full of people who have learned to respect others.
In order to facilitate an increased rate of American space exploration, a new generation of propulsion must be exploited. Typically space is entered through a multistage combusting fueled rocket that starts from dead stop at sea level, carries it own engine and fuel as added weight and inefficiently drops much weight back to earth or expels it into the atomosphere.
Okay, the real trick to being able to enter space is to reach a certain trajectory. Meaning, you have to be aimed outward, away from the earth’s center of gravity, and once you get going a certain speed, gravity cannot stop you from exiting the atmosphere. Currently we launch and expect within ten minutes to have something into orbit. That is not a necessity. We do not need such expediency from a non-military space transport system.
From calculus, we know a large function can be accomplished by the continuation of multiple smaller functions. This is very much true in life. Look at the pyramids, or any skyscraper or even modern aircraft carriers and you will see proof. We just have to add up the right functions. The functions that seem to have the most potential are one using the earth’s own forces such as solar, wind and other natural potentials. Many are old and at present inefficient in many respects. Many have never been used at all…
One specific untapped energy resource humans could harness cleanly would come from the controlled use of gravity on ocean water. Such depths of the ocean will produce compressions that if controlled and focused could launch standard payload packages. That’s right, just like a pellet gun.
Using the potential of ocean water and depth to launch standard payload packages will get us on a repeatable, cost effective, clean route to space. Nothing drops back down to earth. Standard payload packages are reused as housing and storage containers after launch tasks are completed. Also incorporated in this design are gravimetric leverages. This could come in many forms but the one quick thought is to use blimps and counter balances. And finally the starting from dead stop, well that is not really going to go away but it is going to be divvied out over a span of time and through means that do not pollute or require us to rely on an unstable ally or even someone that has the money. Starting at dead stop from 10 miles up instead of from typical sea level, well, that is a reduction in the amount of speed required to break orbit.
It is very possible that we will not be able to immediately drop the multistage rockets but we will be able to take advantage of inertial efficiencies and minimize the required current propulsion weight requirements. This will enable our “mass orbited per dollar” rate to increase dramatically and in effect enable us to to launch more non-propulsion weight, launch more often and much cleaner than we are doing right now.
There are other inefficiencies in the American economy that must be overcome. One specifically is the use of the largest mental focus possible. It is obvious that there are many intelligent marijuana smokers that would be of great help in overcoming hurdles that would be laid in America’s path for this task of survival. However, with current drug laws and anti-privacy aspects of hiring in this economy, there is little hope of getting at those with the best or unconventional ideas. Hence, the mental capacity of America is deteriorated and the scientific pace is slowed. This has got to change.
Some of the smartest people in history were dope-heads. As a marijuana smoker you will not knowingly be hired by NASA or other corporate entity that might delve into space exploration or other scientific endeavor. They will however, spend your taxes on it through subsidization and other government programs paying for the ones that are most “normal” and highly unlikely to contribute anything significant to actually solving the problem without three other people helping them. Sounds like taxation without representation right behind discrimination and stupidity.
You will be criminalized because of your choice of manner of existence in this realm. Choose beer, whisky, wine, or pay for an Rx, and you’re fine. Smoke weed and you’re a freak not worthy of a decent job or participating with other “non-smokers,” no matter if they are overeaters, drunks, liars, cheats or just idiots. They will still get the job before you pothead. They don’t like it that you are not sheep, that you see right through their political asperations and even their control raps. You especially make the rest of the workers nervous because you are outright smarter than 90% of them and will get that raise before them. Live with it.
No weed smokers, then I say no alchohol either. See how the quick that law gets changed then…
Time to light one up…and get off!
