ok so its been goin pretty good with flowering and ferting no issues since ive last chesked in. im guessing i have about 2 more months before harvest but as stated im new to growing and am not sure what to do for harvesting.

ive read on here to not uproot but to cut the plant at the base. then cut off all the big leaves. (should i just cut off the big ones that have branched off and keep the ones closer to the buds?) and hang in a dry dark ventilated area for a couple days. (can i have a fan blow on em? and is there anything specific im looking for when i know theyre dry) then put them in paper bagsfor a couple more days. and after that put them in glass jars to 'cure'

is this the jist of it or are there any better ways to go about it? any info is appreciated also ill post some pics below to letcha see how my babys are doin (very large pictures)

this is the first plant ive ever grown and woulda been alot better if i had known more about growing. but its a learning experience and wont make the same mistakes. :)

this plant was from a bag of mids. its hard around ehre getttin seeds from heady indoors. and im not sure if i wanna order online unless anyone has some good advice/site

this plant is almost a month younger than the one above and this one if you look at the white hairs at the top are already starting to turn amber. isnt this a little early?

again any advice on harvesting is greatly appreciated since its my first time

Pretty dang nice looking job! You outta be proud of that 1st try.

The hardest part of harvest is the waiting for the peak ripeness. There is an old bit of advice floating around that goes "When youre totally positive they are ready to harvest....wait two more weeks.

Thats kinda true, the waiting the last month is a bitch! They look real nice, smell real nice, and you will end up visiting them several times a day, in hopes they will magically reach full maturity every hour.

Your pics appear to be an Indica hybrid, so you might expect them to take 8 to 10 weeks for maturity.

Do a search for Radio Shack Microscopes, and you should find all the info needed for trichrome coloration at peak harvest time.

ive read on here that cutting when the tricomes are creamy will give you a better high. (not sure i wanna try that since this will be my first harvest ever) any truth to that? or should i just just wait for 75% amber tric's?

also ive read on here that flushing a week before you plan on cutting will give a better taste. that true as well

im just trying to reconfirm before i screw up my first harvest so any information in very much appreciated :)

you're the only one who can judge the buzz ya like and this will be an easy and harmless experiment...pick a branch or two that are cloudy then dry & cure your normal method...then same for the later harvest. then figure out which one you like best. some like their buzz on the lighter side and others prefer a couch lock (like me!). picking at the appropriate times should give you either one...up to a point. strain also has much to do with the buzz (duh)...

good luck
