Hey guys me again....outdorr harvest is over and was very successfull thanks to you everyones help. Now I am moving to an indoor operation and I am building my own DWC or Bubbling bucket hydro system. I want to go this route since it is very effcient, although, I am not hot about maintaining 28 bubbling buckets seperatley.

My setup:

1000 MH SunAgro air cooled inline fans
Vegative Growth

1000 HPS SunAgro air cooled inline fans
400 HPS SunAgro air cooled inline fans
Flower

Very good intake and outake, carbon filter, intake filter, wall mounteed fans, all ballast and heated items will be seperate from room and all that

My Question?????

How in the hell can I build a ontroller/resivoir for this setup using the bubbling buckets/DWC???

I have seen some setups and such but I need a very good description of what I need and how it works, any links would be appreciated. Like I said I have a few resources that arent that bad, I am just confuced by the revoir/controller unit keeping my DWC 5 gallon buckets full without me needing to do so much work. I know all the other shit...nutes..ppm..how often to switch out water..oxy plus..everything of that nature....

how do i build a controller/ resvoir for DWC bucket system?

How long should I veg...i heard it very fast...after 7-10 days in cloner...7-10 veg under flouro....then to MH then to HPS...how long for most strains would u expect for me to pull at least 2 ounces but I would like 4 ( i know gwm)

any feedback will be appreciated...thanks guys....

all you have to do is connect them together. sanclem has a diagram of how he does it. granted he is using the buckets as a flood & drain, but you could do the same thing w/o a resevoir. you would use a control bucket to measure/mix/pump your solution. problem with this is that you would need an airstone in each bucket if you didn't circulate the solution alot. type in his name for posts. he has a cpl of diagrams that should help you. basically you could A.run the pump constantly B. a few times each day. r

Each bucket will have its own source of air via 12 in' air stone with very fine bubbles....
I just need a way to prevent my water level from dropping and becoming toxic in a fast amount of time...therefore I need a resvoir with controller that will add fresh ph balanced water in to the buckets to replace water that has been evaporated form the plant...I simply don't understand the exact setup of a controller and resvoir for a DWC system since I am not flooding nor draining it on a normal basis...I want to be ablt o choose a desired water level and sustain it with fresh incoming water...

How do I utilize the toliet float?

Where do I cut all my holes? top or bottom of my buckets?

Will gravity simply keep all buckets the same level since my controller bucket is a certain level depending on the bend i put in my float?

with no pump and allowing gravity to work my bucket can stay on the floor for this type of system right? Since I will not be draining it or flooding it....

I'm at a differnt location to get the plans for all the stuff. Its all ata differnt location, and I will not be back there for a few months.
The plans are out there do a search on sanclem and old sanclem.
I also have plans for a above ground storage system , but I use automation so its rather simple.
Love that program relayrunner for growing with relays and solid state relays
I do not bloom with hps but with mh as the buds are tighter and sticker, note by my test, and data. Do it both ways and prove it.

timmy boy here
firstly your system should be designed so your new nutes flow freely through
the system so the design could look a bit like the second picture the first
picture in a pic of pumbing connecters you need to connect the buckets then
all you need is the normal pipe that fits between them they are easy to use
screw on ..so no soldering needed

the second picture /design is a 25 pod system that is primary a DWC but also
has the second advantage of a flow system ...so new nutes can be
abministered to the entire system without any problems

the auto filling thing is easy lol ..just buy one lol if you control copy paste the
hole address you should go to the right page

http://www.marinedepot.com/
aquarium_dosing_pumps_top_off_jbj_ATO_automatic_top_off_water_level_con
troller.asp?CartId=

if you already made the system it doesnt matter but i like to cover everything

I have had no failures with a mag drive pump, and simple 1/2 pvc , 1/2 tubing.
flood and drain with a gravity system. Still looking for the pictures. Thanks GJW that system has to many parts.

sanclem ya wimp lol ,, i no i no ..keep it simple stupid or (kiss) ...but my
friend did this system and it worked fine and was a nice and cheap set
up ...not your cup of tea ....yer i no your lazy you tell me all the time lol .lmao
hehe : )

i would never do a DWC system anyway i designed and made a oxy drip
system and it was better than anything else i have seen ...

same as a drip system (bit like a wilma) but with clayballs and rockwool , air
pump fizzes tank for 10 minutes before every feed ,waters for 15 minutes
every 3 hours cf and ph monitored ...very productive set up ! love to try it
under a 1000 watter ....next plan of action

peace

Do you have to do that type of system? I used that type of set up for about 6 or 7 grows and it I vary problematic. Those drippers need attention constantly they salt up and stop dripping. Your drain lines clog and can starve plants; your float valve gets salted up and can kill every thing. If you must use that type use fat 3/4 in line and fittings to connect your buckets to your controller use 2 float vales attached with a y or t connector to your system lines. But I would recommend a flood and drain system it is much easier.

which system you talking about if its the drip system i have never had probs
with it : ) the drippers never stopped working and there was no salt build up no
ph damage , no starving plants ,

if you set it up urself (as in design the system yourself) you think of those
problems and design it so there isnt fuck ups ... the system worked better than
a oxy pot !

peace
