My question: Is it possible to find out the sex of a plant before to starts to flower? I have 4 plants w/ unknown sex and i am about to take some cuttings. I don't want to have to clone a bunch and then destroy them when i find out they are males. thanks for the help

I usualy wait till I have 4-5 branches and clone 3 of them. Then I wait a week to make sure I have good clones of the test seed.
Then I take the test plant and put them in to bloom. That way you have a head start with growing clones. Also you have some test pot to find out which seed produced a good item/strain/example.
You would be supprised to find out one seed produces a better plant. It usualy takes about a year to get a good production going.
The reason is that one seed may do things different, never figured that out. The same brand, same seed, same time, same ph , same ppm.
You allways need to put them in to 12/12 to make sure they are what they are. Muther nature is a whore and changes for her favors, the same a the tooth fairy, Easter bunny and Santa Clause.

I've been sexing my plants and what I do is when they are big enough I take clones .... a couple if I can get them.... one goes to the clone level and the other go directly to the flower level. I've been able to determine sex between 15-19 days. The girls I leave to finish ... the boys gets a one way trip upstairs along with their donors. ;)

So I'm new at this and my question is...how can I tell a male plant from a female plant? do the leaves look different or what?

males tend to grow faster and more stretched but there isnt really a way to find out ,except the way i always do clone off it and flower the clone ...simple if it turns out male kill the clone and the mum ,if its female kill it and veg the mum for a big mumma.... if you got 10 plants that you havent got a clue about gender , clone 2 off each and MARK THEM ! flower them and kill the males and the mother....males

keep the females in veg ...it never screws up and it always works
