I would ask to the experts if there is a way to deactivate male pollen and avoid seeds formation.

I've just catched some seeds developing on my plants, the only hermies I've found where killed before the pollen sacks opened and that is happened on 20 december.

Those plants seems 100% females but I'm not sure because the plants are in full flowering (7th week) and can't see any pollen sack.

At the moment I'm taking down the seeds i find before they're developed and washed with rain water all plants.

There is another things I can do ?
What I should care for the next grow ??
Any substance that can deactivate male pollen in those situations ??

Thanks in advice !

Mario the Plumber ;)

dude you dont need to kill the hermies lol. just cut off the male flowers as
they form ! its not perfect but if theres no pollen theres no seeds!

i had 42 3 foot monsters inside and i checked everyone almost everyday ... if
you find a male pollen sack comin out just mark the plant and remove the
sack ...

hermies dont always appear because of a stressful environment , they can
naturally appear because of the all female plant pherimones(if they have them
but they do know!) plants are there to reproduce themselves like we are ... if
there is only females in a area a female will become hermie for future
generations ..... dont asume its your fault..just make the growing
environment as constant as you can.

so in the end you dont deactivate male pollen (you can just wash it with water
but that might cause rot!) you just pick /cut them off as they form ....

just CHECK YOUR PLANTS !

peace

Now the damage is done, just to understand for the next time.....
The hermies i caught were took out and killed on 20 dec. before the little balls opened.
Now, at the beginning of the 7th week of flowering of 4 plants I caught those seeds developing, I would understand why I have seeds now because of the 2 killed hermies OR I should suspect some pollen sacks developed on my flowering female plants, due to a bad genetics ?

How many days needs to develope a seeds starting from impollination day ?

Tnx again

i doubt its bad genetics ... look everywhere all over the plants for males sacks !
it doesnt matter but its nice not to have seeds in weed ...

also if there are no male sacks on your present plants (but there should be ) the
seeds will be feminized if you have got sacks on them they will be hermie seeds

peace

..next time just keep checking your plants ! if some male sacks pop up just
pluck them off

The ony thing I can say after George here is that to nutralize pollen in the grow room you can spray the plants with water..... This will not work after pollenation has occured though ..... and this type of thing is used when there is a male / hermie in the room you need to take out, and don't want to risk the spreading of the pollen.

P.S. reasons for hermies : genetics, shock, uneven light cycles ( shock ), or just that all the ladies realize there where no gents present.
